Caregiver and Toddler Creative Dance
Ages: Walking – 2.5 years
Toddlers and caregivers dance together in a joyful class that includes a rhyming BrainDance, exploration of dance concepts, and playing with multi sensory props and instruments. Imagination and creativity are encouraged throughout. This class uses a brain-compatible approach that emphasizes the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical benefits of movement.
Schedule: Fridays, 11am – 11:30am
Creative Dance for Children
Ages 3.5 – 5 years old
This class nurtures creativity, imagination, and joyful expression. Children explore movement concepts, develop dance skills, strengthen the brain and body, and connect with others. This class uses a brain-compatible approach that emphasizes the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical benefits of movement.
About the Instructor:
Kristen Smiarowski has been a dance and movement educator for over 20 years. Her classes foster social bonding, self-confidence, and creativity.
She has a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from UCLA, and trained in Brain Compatible Dance Education (BCDE) and BrainDance at the Creative Dance Center in Seattle, WA, the Dance Education Laboratory in NYC, and The Music Center of Los Angeles. Kristen was a full-time professor of dance at Loyola Marymount University (2015–2024), and has been a teaching artist for children and seniors at schools, healthcare centers, and community centers.
She is passionate about using movement and creative expression to help people of all ages thrive.
